You're priceless, and the memories that your jewelry holds are as well.  We at Gem One do our very best to provide accurate and timely appraisals that will allow you to get protection on your treasured jewelry items.  Gem One offers appraisals for many purposes, all operating under a strict code of ethics set forth by the national Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, or USPAP.   These guidelines help to assure customers that their appraiser is giving them the true, replacement value of items in your possession. 

JoAnn Gill, the owner and founder of Gem One has over 25 years of experience in appraising precious materials.  She has appeared as the guest speaker at The Walters Art Museum “Ask the Expert” series for the 2000 Years of Jewelry Expo, 2010, “Everything you want to know about Retail Jewelers but were afraid to ask” for The Women Society of Columbia Maryland, 2001 and “Ask The Expert” at the Historical Society of Frederick, Maryland, 2010 and Tri-State Jewelers Association, Conducting Professional Jewelry Appraisals.  She is a Graduate Gemologist from The Gemological Institute of America, and a senior member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA).  Ms. Gill has a high reputation of excellence and treating her customers as close friends.  Over the years, she has built a state-of-the-art laboratory that will allow her to appraise all your jewelry needs, in house or mobile.
